Mazda 2: Purge Solenoid Valve
PURGE SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).
CAUTION:
2. Remove the fresh-air duct and the air cleaner as a single unit. (See
INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).
3. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

- Purge solenoid valve connector
- Evaporative hose
- Purge solenoid valve
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
PURGE SOLENOID VALVE INSPECTION
Airflow Inspection
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).
2. Remove the purge solenoid valve. (See PURGE SOLENOID VALVE
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).
3. Verify that the airflow is as indicated in the table.


- If not as specified in the table, inspect the purge solenoid valve. (See
PURGE SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).
