Detection Condition

- Wiring harness between the driver-side side air bag sensor and SAS
control module has
a malfunction.
- Driver-side side air bag sensor has a malfunction.
Possible Causes
- Driver-side side air bag sensor connector malfunction
- Open or short circuit in the wiring harness between the driver-side side
air bag sensor
and SAS control module
- Driver-side side air bag sensor malfunction
- SAS control module malfunction

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).
CAUTION:
Removing the fresh-air duct from the air cleaner case may damage the
fresh-air duct.
Always remove the fresh-air duct and the air cleaner case as a single unit.

are
designed to work together with the seat belts to help to reduce injuries during
an accident.
The SRS air bags are designed to provide further protection for passengers in
addition to the
seat belt functions.
